Seminole Arts Council Announces Changes to Board of Directors
The Seminole Arts Council announces that, effective July 9th, 2026, Chanteal Hanson has been removed from the Board of Directors and is no longer affiliated with the organization.
This action was taken by the Board of Directors following a review of conduct that the Board determined was inconsistent with the standards, responsibilities, and expectations of those serving the organization. The decision was made in accordance with the Council's bylaws and established governance procedures.
The Board recognizes the importance of transparency while also respecting the confidentiality of internal governance and personnel matters. Accordingly, no additional details regarding this decision will be released.
As the Council moves forward, the Board has unanimously appointed Briar Jordan and Whitney Jordan to fill vacant positions on the Board of Directors. Their addition reflects the organization's continued commitment to strong leadership, accountability, and service to the community. The Board looks forward to the experience, perspective, and dedication they will bring as the Council continues to expand its programs and community impact.
The Seminole Arts Council remains focused on its mission of enriching the community through the arts. We appreciate the continued support of our members, volunteers, donors, partners, and the citizens we serve as we continue building a stronger future together.
